This is an awakenedTV talk with Amy Edelstein, a senior teacher of Evolutionary Enlightenment. Amy is an Executive Assistant to Andrew Cohen and a founding member of EnlightenNext. The Awakened Campaign is my Conscious Service, and I thought it would be appropriate to share my luck with all...
I (Eagle de Botton) Was lucky to be introduced to the teaching of Evolutionary Enlightenment, about 3 years ago. A lot has happened since then, because it was opening for me a door to the understanding of the... purpose of life.
If you want to evolve and live awakened life, you would wish to read Evolutionary Enlightenment!

"The Evolution of Response" by Aikido Sensei Miles Kessler |
"The Evolution of Response" by Miles Kessler Sensei, the founder and director of Integral Dojo in Tel Aviv, Israel. An Evolutionary Aikido and Dharma Teacher, and a dear spiritual friend.
Miles spent a few hours in Zurich, on his way to teach in a Europe. It was a beautiful spring day, and we took a walk by the lake. I asked Miles to talk a little about Aikido. I had no idea... Aikido is indeed a Martial Art, just like I already knew, but it is also a lot more.
In Aikido, you shift your perspective to where you are actually at one with the other person. Aikido happens in relationship. It is about Awakened Relationship, eventually creating an awake and aware system. A system with its own intelligence. It is like awakened inspired musical jam session, creating an inter subjective space...

Aikido Sensei, Miles Kessler, is a Dharma Teacher, and the director of the Integral Dojo, Tel-Aviv. Miles is also a good spiritual friend. On his latest teaching tour, he visited Zurich, and I was lucky to enjoy a short walk with him, on a sunny afternoon...
We were talking about life, evolution, the future, spiritual practice, music, and of course Aikido. Someone happened to have had an awakenedTV video camera... :) I will share it all!
This video clip is an excerpt of our conversation. Miles explain the need to integrate levels of development. Not only accept but embrace and integrate. As an example he ask me to tell him about my feeling when going to a synagog.

Integral Dojo Israel - A Great place to create the future |
Spring 2012 - My spiritual friend Aikido Sensei Miles Kessler, the director of the new Tel Aviv Integral Dojo, came to Switzerland for a short teaching tour. We took a walk by the lake of Zurich enjoying the beautiful day, talking about Integral, the future of humanity, and the Integral Dojo in Tel Aviv. We decided to video for awakenedTV a short introduction to Aikido.
So, me and Miles got ready for the talk, the camera was rolling, and... my son Reuven was passing by the lake, and joined us for a few minutes. A few days before, both of my sons came back from a 5 month study in Israel. Both took the time to visit Integral Dojo activities in Tel Aviv.
The conversation with Reuven turned to be a good example for the good work done in Israel by Miles and the Integral Dojo.
The future coming ahead with the open mined young generation, and the teaching by the older guys, planting the seeds, looks great.

Jessica Roemischer - Interview on Awakened TV - Part 1 |
In this excerpt from an interview with Eagle de Botton, Jessica Roemischer speaks about the approach she uses to piano duet improvisation. She describes how, in duet at the piano, she creates for another human being an experience of trust and discovery which transcends any limitation or self-doubt. Jessica places this experience in an evolutionary context, and reveals why it has significance because it frees us from the fear which has characterized the span of our individual and collective human history.

Creating Dynamic Development and Harmony in the Classroom |
Their work is about developing the individual and collective "consciousness" of a class of children. Nick Drummond and Joan Berland developed a learning program based on recognizing consciousness as always being a primary part of our experience. Although it is not easily seen or widely recognized, it is something that can be pointed to, described and developed. "As educators, this means learning how to give attention to the interior as well as the exterior dimension of the classroom environment..."

Awakening to The Uncommon Path - Chapter 2 - The Whole 'I' |
Awakening your full potential implies that you are a self-confident, self-reliant and an emotionally intelligent individual. Included in Chapter Two is a simple exercise on identifying and curing shadow. It is only when the 'I', or the Freudian Ego, is complete in you, that you are free to focus on the path of complete liberation. The second chapter goes on to help you identify the separate sense of-self and the ego - the part of humanity that is motivated by seemingly personal fear and desire, which is compounded by long-term interactions with family, media, culture and the world. Here, we also distinguish between the healthy and unhealthy aspects of the ego.
This chapter outlines several new perspectives on the independent force of conditioning, beginning with behaviors in which conditioning and unconsciousness are most obvious. Identifying the unhealthy-ego simultaneously reveals the awakened choices that allow you to transcend its influence in your life and relationships.

Awakening to The Uncommon Path - Chapter 3 - Two Ways to Joy |
This chapter takes a lighthearted look at the origin of the separate sense-of-self and the ego-mind whose role it is to defend that concept. It explains how we unknowingly develop an attached to this 'me'-sense because of the natural process of development, which occurs between four to seven years of age.
Chapter 3 continues by describing the ways in which we craft and secure our separate sense-of-self and how we eventually are molded by the opportunities and limitations of our particular culture. We also discover that there are two ways to joy. This chapter explains what these two paths are, how to recognize them, and how to select the way for you that will allow the complete expression of your full potential. This chapter ends with a look at the ego's response to the process of dead and dying with a beautiful except from author and Diamond Way Buddhist teacher, Lama Ole Nydahl.

Awakening to The Uncommon Path - Chapter 4 - The Grace of Resistance |
Trust in transformation transmutes turmoil into truth, and all limiting fears dissolve once you obtain objectivity on the opposition―the unhealthy-ego. Your suffTrust in transformation transmutes turmoil into truth, and all limiting fears dissolve once you obtain objectivity on the opposition―the unhealthy-ego. Your suffering, as well as the pain and distress you cause others, comes mostly from your inability to recognize resistance as the invitation of consciousness to evolve into a new direction in life for which you are already prepared.
We also see how anguish is not really caused by things that happen to you, but as a result of conscious or unconscious opposition to your evolution.
Chapter 4 reveals that often it takes more energy to pretend you are happy than it does to let go of unnecessary suffering. Stop resistance to change points the way to your release from all unnecessary suffering. ering, as well as the pain and distress you cause others, comes mostly from your inability...
