Here is a beautiful awakenedTV video clip, for The Awakened Campaign (TAC.fm). The clip was taken after the guided Mindfulness meditation with Aikido Sensei Miles Kessler.

If you want to develop and change, Meditation is an essential practice. It enable us to see through the ego, and engage with life from a position of freedom, beyond the anarchistic self. We are then able to experience who we are at the deepest level of our being, and see the bigger picture and the inherent goodness of life. Meditation provides us with that transcendental knowledge, a knowledge that is a precondition to being mindful.
We know that already, don't we?! :-)

Meditation enables us to see beyond the small ego, and it is very common to experience all kinds of distractions "invented" by the small ego, fighting for its survival…

Awakening to The Uncommon Path - Chapter 11 - Recall Your Origin of Oneness
Spiritual teacher Andrew Cohen relates to meditation as a metaphor for enlightenment and... a practice for life.
Indeed that is what meditation is; you meditate to remind yourself that you are not a prisoner. It is a posture of freedom.
In chapter 11 of The Uncommon Path you learn how to recall your origin of oneness. The Third Insight reveals that your true nature is not the constant movement of the mind. Your true nature is one of great peace, ease and joyfulness in which all creativity arises. This video dialog describes simple yet powerful practice of stillness meditation. Usually, it is the first place you will come face-to-face with the true force of the ego in you. In stillness meditation, you practice recognizing and practising a position of no relationship with the ego-mind so that when you encounter it in your daily life you will have the self-confidence and ability to let it be as it is. Meditation is a practice you need to adopt so you can engage in awakened life.
